Jennifer Selke is in her 18th year running summer recreation and
after school programs. She received her Ph.D. in
Educational Psychology from U.C. Berkeley and now splits her time a number of different ways.
She runs a large summer camp in the Recreational Sports Department at U.C. Berkeley which includes an integrated social skills camp for children and teens. She is also a faculty member in the U.C. Berkeley Graduate School of
Education & affiliated with the Berkeley Center for New Media. Jennifer is a licensed educational psychologist in private practice and works part-time at a public middle school.Her technology interests have taken her into the blogging and social media world where she runs a popular blog TheCampDirector.com. Jennifer provides consulting services to individuals in the recreation and digital entertainment industry in the area of social media, organization, and productivity. Jennifer speaks at national conferences on teacher and staff training, youth development, and organizational management, supervision, and technology. Her research interests include: job satisfaction and job tenure, brain based education and training, and the use of technology by adolescents and young adults.
