Jennifer H. Selke, Ph.D.

Licensed Educational Psychologist, Gallup Certified Coach

I am a UC Berkeley-trained psychologist, retired faculty member, and strengths expert helping high-performing individuals maximize their strengths to reach a goal, solve a problem, get direction, and figure out life. Teams and managers bring me in when they need a Clifton Strengths and group dynamics specialist to help improve group communication, refocus an executive team, and build cohesion after reorganization. Highly effective, close-knit groups hire me for team-building events to bring the team’s connection and trust. As an expert on wellbeing and military veteran transition, I work with veteran affinity groups in organizations to support the unique cultural needs of warriors transitioning to a civilian workplace.

What makes me a unique coach and facilitator:

  • Trained in how the brain learns and integrated brain-based learner-centered principles in every workshop

  • Licensed Educational Psychologist, School Psychologist, retired U.C. Berkeley faculty member, and Gallup Certified Strengths Coach specializing in strengths-based management and leadership coaching

  • Cultural competencies working with high school and college students, Division I student-athletes, k-12 education, military veterans, and first responders

  • Twenty-six years at the University of California at Berkeley, managing the nation's largest strengths-based summer day camp programs

  • Expertise in training and managing a diverse workforce, including generational and neurodiversity, including teens and adults with Asperger Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, and Learning Disabilities

  • Thirty years working with over 3000 15-24-year-olds, preparing them for the workplace

In 2008, I co-founded WorkStrengths with Betsy Flanagan. Since then, we have coached and trained 3000+ individuals on CliftonStrengths using the StrengthsFinder Assessment and Strengths-Based Leadership and Management, including Fortune 500s, startups, mid-size companies, government, education, veteran groups, and non-profit organizations. I am the Director of Warrior PATHH, a program for combat veterans and first responders at Zac Brown's Camp Southern Ground. I serve military veterans in their transition to civilian life.
